Thymus caborn ‘Wine and Roses’

This is a small but perfectly formed daintily leaved Thyme. The Romans declared the fragrance to be a cure for melancholia, and the Elizabethans used it to cure a range of ailments including headaches, whooping cough and lethargy. Thyme's strong antiseptic properties make it a fantastic tea for hangovers or a mouthwash for sore throats and infected gums. It also has many culinary uses, the flowers can even be added raw into salads.

Place in a sunny situation, in southern or western facing window ideally. Trim back flowers after they have finished and brush away clippings.

Single herb plant in a 13cm Italian terracotta pot, with a matching saucer. Planted in a peat reduced compost mix with added perlite for extra drainage.
