'Lemon and Lime' Planter
Containing Buckler-Leaf Sorrel & Lime Mint
Rumex scutatus & Mentha x piperita f. citrata ‘Lime’
This planter contains a wonderful mint that has a hint of lime, with attractive bronze-green leaves. Fantastic added to fruit salads and cocktails. The Sorrel has such deliciously tangy leaves that can be tossed straight into salads, added to dips and soups. Or munched straight off the plant! In a similar way to Spinach, Sorrel is considered to have blood cleansing and improving qualities, it also contains vitamin C.
Sorrel is a powerful herb, so avoid consuming large quantities in excess. Grow in full sun or partial shade, keep well watered but not waterlogged. It's fully hardy and will grow on throughout the winter, in summer keep harvesting and remove flowers when they appear to ensure a supply of fresh leaves.
