Salvia officinalis tricolour
Single herb plant in a 15cm Italian terracotta pot, with a matching saucer. Planted in a peat-free compost mix with added vermiculite for extra drainage.
Has a mild flavour and many culinary uses. Keep in a sunny position and cut back in the spring to boost new growth. Let the soil dry out in between waterings and water in at the roots, not above on the leaves to avoid getting powdery mildew. If this starts to occur, remove affected leaves and try and increase sun exposure.
