Thymus spp. 'Rose scented'
A gorgeously scented unusual variety of thyme, smelling of heady roses. It has edible pink flowers in early summer which can be used to decorate desserts or drinks. Some customers have been using it in fruity cocktails, or infusions give it a go!
Grow in a fully sunny position and prune back hard after flowering. If it's getting leggy in autumn time, give it a good prune.
All herbs are planted in a peat reduced compost mix with added perlite for extra drainage.
Choose whether you receive your herb planted up in an Italian terracotta pot, with a matching saucer - or if you already have a pot in mind, keep it in its nursery pot.
Dry and free draining.
Harvest the tips frequently to keep your thyme plant bushy. Cut back hard after flowering in summer to prevent elongated woody growth.
Up to 15cm high / 15cm spread
