Good King Henry
Situation: Sun or shade
Uses: Cooking and vitamins
Single herb plant in a 15cm Italian terracotta pot, with a matching saucer. Planted in a peat-free compost mix with added vermiculite for extra drainage.
Flourishes in poor soil, in a sunny or shady position. The leaves are rich in iron, calcium, vitamins B1 and C. Particularly recommended for those suffering with anemia. Best harvested when young and fresh. Keep well cropped and cover with a cloche if outside in winter for continuous leaf supply.
